Minnesota Lynx in the community: Go Green Week
The Minnesota Lynx staff, along with players Candice Wiggins and Alexis Hornbuckle, spent the day at the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis, Minnesota watering their gardens during the WNBA’s Green Week. They also helped the children churn ice cream for a snack.
Minnesota Lynx Aid Victims of Northeast Minneapolis Tornado
Immediately following the tornado that struck the close, family oriented neighborhood of North Minneapolis there was an instant call to action. The Minnesota Lynx were looking for a way to help in any way possible and their request was granted through Shiloh Temple in North Minneapolis.
Minnesota Lynx in the Community: Inspiring Women and Eating Healthy
The Minnesota Lynx staff traveled to one local Minneapolis school to teach the importance of eating breakfast with help from Lynx Forward, Monica Wright and mascot Prowl. Lynx Forwards, Charde Houston and Taj McWilliams-Franklin spoke to over 80 6th grade girls at FAIR School in Crystal as a part of the WNBA’s Inspiring Women’s program.
